Revealed for the first time: Donville Inniss Swiss Money Connection
An interesting article in yesterday’s Nation Newspaper where Donville Inniss, our Minister of International Business, announced that Barbados is fully on board with the US and international efforts to have an automatic exchange of tax information between countries.
Some folks would say that Barbados is caving to the USA’s extortion, but others would say this is the future and welcome to it.
Of course, some folks would also question where the customers are going to come from if keeping money in Barbados is the same as having a bank account in Chicago or London. Why should anyone do their banking in Bim if there is no advantage?
“. . . My ministry has written to the secretary general of the OECD in Paris indicating that Barbados has formally committed to signing on to the automatic exchange of tax information,” Inniss said. “This is important because as a government there is somewhat of a paradigm shift in taking a position that Barbados needs to be a player, and to be seen as a major player in this international financial services sector where it matters most.”

This concern with international tax treaties is a newish thing for Pornville, er, Donville.
You see, not so many years ago, Barbados Free Press caught out Donville Inniss in the act of profiteering from online pornography.

For that, Inniss attacked Bourne, but he never answered the questions and more telling: Inniss never denied his porn profiteering and association with Orgasm.com, KinkFarm.com and other disgusting websites.
Oh… did you know that Inniss had his name on Orgasm.com’s ‘Devil-O’ trademark?
Some other Inniss associated websites like KinkFarm.com made their money by featuring videos and photographs of people having sex with animals. And animals having sex with people.
That’s how Donville Inniss made money in the porn business, and here comes (as they say in the porn business) THE MONEY SHOT…

A few years back Marcus signed up at the premier Inniss porn website: Orgasm.com. Marcus used his credit card and guess where the money went to? That’s right folks… Switzerland.
So here are a few questions for Minister Inniss…
- Why did you and your business associates direct payments from subscribers to your porn websites to Switzerland?
- Why didn’t you and your business associates direct subscriber payments to banks in Barbados?
- Did you, Donville Inniss, have a Swiss bank account where your portion of the porn profits were directed?
- Why didn’t you, Donville Inniss, have your porn profits paid in Barbados?
- Did you, Donville Inniss, declare your porn profits as income in Barbados?
- Hey… NICE PLACE you have in Florida, Donville! Where did the money to buy the place come from? Was the money transferred to Florida from Barbados… or from Switzerland or another country?
No need to be shy Minister Inniss… tell your constituents!
Or maybe you’ll just remain silent and take a little vacation in that Florida love nest. Where did the money arrive from to buy the place? Barbados… or Switzerland?

It is time that World Leaders insist that Swiss Banks and those in Miami and New York and of course all other Banks should report when big sums of Monies are placed in their Banks, well knowing that these persons are known Politicians and return the money to the particular Country.
It is time that this Criminal activity be stopped, these Politicians should also be Jailed for stealing the Peoples money.

It is this “confidentiality” that guarantees Banks survival/existance.
No interest is paid on this “blood money” and it is “lent” to finance
international “criminals” (Banks) corporations companies even criminals.

Until international banks come clean “volunteerly” no government or
foreign state can impose/regulate them……ban ad fines just drive them

Most politicians can do is “request” openers ad transparency but before
they do “they must practice what they preach”……doubt it as the political

The longer these types of stories re Danville’s porn business stay published the more I’m convinced they are true because he would have had the stories removed years ago if they were false.

Integrity ? Transparency ? Accountability ? In Barbados ? Not now and perhaps not ever ! Not until the masses wake up and force radical change in the system. That would necessitate the emergence new class/group of politicians who are prepared (and compelled ) to put the country and its people above their own narrow self-interests ! Not very likely since the “economic elite” works hand-in-glove with the “political elite” to suppress the masses ! This is compounded by the fact that the “political elite” is the creation of the masses who are responsible for a mentality, a mindset ,a culture which, unfortunately, does not “give two hoots” about integrity, transparency or accountability !

My issue with the Minister is performance related. Is his ministry performing in a way that its mandate is being met?
Does he have the foresight to implement measures to attract lucrative foreign companies here, and then get them to stay?
Is he earning his keep as a minister seeing that we cant seem to figure out what successes his ministry is enjoying?
I knew that as Minister of Health, he got a ban on smoking in public places. Whoop-de-Doo! So what did that do cumulatively for us? Gave us more places where we could go lime and not smell cigarette smoke?
What I am really getting at here is the measure of effectiveness and value that we have enjoyed a as result of his ministry and the other ministries.
But Barbadians are complacent and will not act decisively in many matters choosing rather to moan, groan and complain.
Donville, or Dumbville is I care to call him is looking out for himself. Don’t try and look out for yours!
