How Ikea implemented Islamic Sharia law

Women removed from Ikea Middle East catalogue so not to ‘offend’ Muslims

If you really want to know what Islam is all about, don’t bother to read what we or Muslims say about Islam and the Islamic laws called ‘Sharia’. Just have a look for yourself at how Muslim majority societies portray and control women.

Then read the Koran to see where all this oppression comes from, for the Koran is the source of the societal standards we’re talking about.

Read the Koran about how a woman’s worth as a witness in court proceedings is only worth 1/4 that of a man. Read in the Koran how husbands are allowed to beat their wives. Read in the Koran how men are allowed to divorce their wives in contrast to the rules for women wanting a divorce.

Make up your own mind as to whether Islam is compatible with a free and democratic society and the values that most Barbadians hold.

Ikea deleted women from Saudi version of catalogue

STOCKHOLM (AP) — Ikea is being criticized for deleting images of women from the Saudi version of its furniture catalogue, a move the company says it regrets. Comparing the Swedish and Saudi versions of the catalogue, free newspaper Metro on Monday showed that women had been airbrushed out of otherwise identical pictures showcasing the company’s home furnishings…

Muslim riots in Maldives – A Barbados vacation looks better all the time!

Sex outside marriage = flogging in Maldives

Hundreds riot in support of Islamic Sharia law

Rioters say Government under the influence of “Jews” and “Christian priests” to weaken Islam in the Maldives.

(It’s the JEWS!!! JEWS!!! JEWS!!! I tell you! And those damned infidel Christian beer drinkers too. Pass me a Banks Beer please… Ta!)

As we said in our recent post about the Maldives: Maldives Muslim crazies are good news for Barbados Tourism

The Maldives, a group of over 1,100 tiny coral islands, is often compared with Barbados as a vacation and retirement destination. Although far-removed from each other geographically, both countries compete for the same United Kingdom and European travelers.

The rise of Islamists demanding Sharia law is threatening the Maldives islands’ tourism industry. I doesn’t matter how pretty and relaxing the place is: when folks are in fear they will be jailed for possessing a bible, when they are cursed as swine and infidels, when women are publicly flogged for having sex out of wedlock and when a tourist can’t buy a beer on a hot afternoon – people start choosing other travel destinations.

Considering a Maldives vacation or honeymoon? Think again!

The government on Wednesday raised fears of Islamic extremism taking hold in the Indian Ocean atoll nation, which is best known for its upmarket tourism and as a destination for honeymooners.

The foreign ministry said it was “extremely concerned” by an increase in extremist rhetoric used by the government’s rivals that could lead to “stigmatization, stereotyping and incitement to religious violence and hatred”.

There have been anti-Semitic protests recently about the transport ministry’s decision to allow direct flights from Israel, while a restaurant that hung up Christmas decorations in 2010 was also targeted.

New (tongue in cheek) Barbados Tourism Authority slogan for Maldives markets…

Vacation in Barbados: We promise we won’t flog you for bringing a bible or having sex without being married!

I can understand Arabic, thanks to Translating Jihad

Child bride ten years old

Fatwa: “Sexual intercourse with prepubescent girl is permissible.”

Al Muratjim is an educated man who works as a full-time Arabic translator during the day. During his time off he works exposing Islamic totalitarianism and intolerance by translating it from Arabic into English.

His Translating Jihad blog illustrates the difference between how Muslims talk about Islam to each other every day in the Muslim world’s mainstream media and how Muslim spokesmen and apologists in the West talk about Islam. As we’ve recently seen in Barbados, when any member of Islamic community lets the truth slip, the apologists are ready and willing to help.

Thanks to the efforts of Al Murajim and others like him, with increasing frequency we are seeing Muslim spokesmen in the West being held to account for talking out of both sides of their mouths (the Ground Zero Mosque imam is the latest to be exposed by his own words).

In the West we are often told that child marriage is a cultural issue having nothing to do with the religion of Islam.

Yup, that’s what they say in the West in English, but in Arabic it’s another story… Continue reading

Barbados Muslim Girls School, 14 year old student: “Nothing wrong with beheading, chopping off your hands, severe beatings”

What values are taught at Al-Falah Muslim School?

“Hijab is compulsory… hide woman’s beauty as protection from rape.”

“Beheading, chopping off your hands, severe beatings are Islamic rules, nothing wrong in it.”

When a dozen or so girls from the Al-Falah Islamic School recently participated in the Long Beach clean-up while wearing Muslim dress and veils, Barbados Free Press wrote The Muslim vision of the future for all Barbadian women and republished a photo of the group. (shown above, courtesy of The Nation)

Three of the students in the photo placed comments on our article – and what they have to say is most disturbing.

Naively, the 14 to 16 year old girl students of the Al-Falah Muslim School simply wrote the truth as they see it and revealed values and standards that are totally at odds with our society.

No person in Barbados, and especially in the Ministry of Education, can read their comments and not be concerned about what is being taught at the Al-Falah Muslim School.

In the past, Barbados Free Press questioned the text books used and the lessons taught at our Muslim schools. BFP asked what the Ministry of Education is doing to supervise a curriculum that is largely created and sometimes directly delivered (electronically and via publications) from Saudi Arabia.

This concern about Muslim schools is worldwide as advances in technology allow Saudi Arabia to export their values and standards to children in Muslim schools everywhere.

“PUPILS at Islamic schools across Britain are being taught how to chop off a criminal’s hand and that Jews are conspiring to take over the world, a BBC investigation has found.”

… from The Australian British pupils taught how to carry out Sharia punishments at Islamic schools

(Give thanks and a Banks beer to Jihad Watch for the link)

Barbados is not immune from the same type of problems being experienced in the UK.

Posted below is the full comment written by the teenage girl student from the Barbados Al-Falah Muslim School. You’ll find a link to the other two comments as well.

Are the values and standards shown in the comments an acceptable result for a school in Barbados?

Is teaching that that there is nothing wrong in mutilation and beheading for offences against Muslim Sharia law acceptable in our country’s schools?

Is it proper to teach that the onus is on women to prevent rape by “covering their beauty”?

You want to know what is taught at the Barbados Al-Falah Muslim School?

Here it is… Continue reading

Ground Zero Mosque design: falling Stars of David are not symbolic of Jewish defeat. Honest.

Let’s see if I have this correctly…

No symbolism in the location of a mega-mosque on the site of a building damaged in the 9/11 attacks. No symbolism in the design showing falling Jewish Stars of David. No symbolism in the design that has a bend that seems to invoke the image of two buildings. No symbolism in the outside design, especially at night, that seems to invoke light and dark patches resembling smoke.

And it’s built by moderate, tolerant Muslims who do not wish to see Sharia law imposed on the United States and the rest of the west.

And in an obvious (even if obliquely delivered) threat, the Muslim leader behind the project says if it’s not built there will be violence.

Oh. Okay. You can all go back to sleep now. Nothing to see here. Move along, folks. Move along.

Honour Killing awareness campaign launched in Chicago, Miami… and Barbados

Barbados Free Press today announced that the website will regularly report on the Honor Killing Awareness Campaign launched in Chicago this week and coming soon to other US cities. The taxi roof-sign advertising is meant to raise awareness of the rise of honor killings in the West and to provide Muslim women with resources if they wish to exercise their rights and freedoms under law.
