Ground Zero Mosque design: falling Stars of David are not symbolic of Jewish defeat. Honest.

Let’s see if I have this correctly…

No symbolism in the location of a mega-mosque on the site of a building damaged in the 9/11 attacks. No symbolism in the design showing falling Jewish Stars of David. No symbolism in the design that has a bend that seems to invoke the image of two buildings. No symbolism in the outside design, especially at night, that seems to invoke light and dark patches resembling smoke.

And it’s built by moderate, tolerant Muslims who do not wish to see Sharia law imposed on the United States and the rest of the west.

And in an obvious (even if obliquely delivered) threat, the Muslim leader behind the project says if it’s not built there will be violence.

Oh. Okay. You can all go back to sleep now. Nothing to see here. Move along, folks. Move along.

Ground Zero Mosque nothing more than Rubbing Salt in the Wound

For Edward from Brooklyn

“The kind of Muslims I wouldn’t mind building a mosque at Ground Zero (and there’s lots of them) would NEVER EVEN DREAM of building of mosque there.”

Blipsterfarian Logic on Glenn Beck, True Blood and the Ground Zero Mosque

We are happy to see that our Jamaican friend Blipsterfarian (Yes. Blipsterfarian “Black+hipster+Rastafarian”) is back with a new blog after letting his old one fade away.

At Blipsterfarian Logic you’ll find an interesting mix of snippets on everything from politics and energy to passa-passa, Mad Men and True Blood.  Not to mention Naomi Campbell and African blood diamonds.

Blipster sometimes reposts other writers or pounds the keyboard himself (OK, he taps, I pound). Today he’s wading into the Glenn Beck “Restoring Honor Rally” discussion with a repost that proclaims…

“Beck and his followers have sought to co-opt Dr. King’s dream and use it for their own nightmarish ends. They can no longer be ignored.” Continue reading

President Obama, the Ground Zero Mosque and a grasshopper named Dennis

Our old friend Dennis Jones (Living in Barbados blog) moved back to the USA at the end of July and is living somewhere near Maryland and the Potomac River.

We are delighted to report that Dennis has started a new blog and he’s still writing about Barbados and other subjects dear to our hearts. Agree or disagree with Dennis – he’ll always make you think.

A few days ago he wrote about President Obama weighing in on the on the Ground Zero mosque controversy. Yup, Dennis still makes us think!

“Do the views of those who will not be convinced matter more than those who may be swayed?”

… from the Grasshopper Eyes The Potomac story Going to ground over his words?

(We see that Dennis switched to WordPress.com for his new blog. Good choice! Much better than Blogger for about a dozen reasons.)

September 11, 2010: Huge protest at Ground Zero against 9/11 Victory Mosque

Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend a massive protest this September 11th at Ground Zero. The issue is the proposed construction of an 11 story mega-mosque within steps of the hole in the ground that used to be the World Trade Centre.

The proposed $120 million dollar mega-mosque is being funded by the same people who bring you jihad on a daily basis. The mosque will be viewed by millions of jihadist Muslims as a victory monument to jihad and 9/11 – and that is the intent no doubt. Continue reading

Muslim reform activist Dr. Wafa Sultan: Ground Zero Mosque decisive victory by Islam over the infidels

Will Americans submit to an Islamist Victory at Ground Zero?

In a recent article Barbados Free Press called the 9/11 Mosque to be built at Ground Zero… “A triumphant symbol of Islamist domination and American submission

Most readers agreed with our analysis, while others said we were reading too much into the location and symbolism of the 9/11 Mosque.

Realization & Outrage growing against the 9/11 Mosque

Today one of the world’s foremost Muslim thinkers confirmed what we already thought: the 9/11 Mosque will be viewed by the vast majority of Muslims as a victory over infidels and another step in “Islam’s march to establish its ultimate goal: the submission of all others to Islam and to Sharia Law.”

Syrian-born human rights activist Dr. Wafa Sultan was named by Time Magazine as one of the Top 100 most influential people in the world. You should read what she says about the 9/11 Ground Zero Mosque…

A Mosque at Ground Zero Equals Victory

by Dr. Wafa Sultan

A new mosque is now being planned in New York near “Ground Zero,” two blocks from where the World Trade Center used to be. This mosque is headed by an Imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf, founder of the Cordoba Initiative, who proposes to convert the now-shuttered Burlington Coat Factory on Park Place into an Islamic Cultural Center which would contain a mosque.

It is crucial to study the supremacist ideology of Islam and to recognize, for example, that the building of a mosque especially at Ground Zero is viewed by Muslims as a decisive victory over the infidels in Islam’s march to establish its ultimate goal: the submission of all others to Islam and to Sharia Law…
