Contest to name interCaribbean Airways new aircraft!

Our prime entry – name the new aircraft Earl and Floyd Hall

Oh joy!

interCaribbean Airways (formerly Air Turks & Caicos, the national airline of The Turks & Caicos Islands) is holding a contest to name their new aircraft.

A fine idea!

… but in our opinion the names have to reflect the true nature of The Turks & Caicos Islands and honour those who represent the fine traditions of offshore banking in T&C:

And… here is BFP’s contest entry…

Oh noble wings, we name thee…

Earl and Floyd Hall

Back in March of 2011 Barbados Free Press reported that Earl Hall, the brother of former Turks and Caicos Minister of Finance Floyd Hall, had just been released on bail by the UK anti-corruption investigators.

The TCIpost broke the story and reported that Earl Hall would face numerous charges including defrauding the government on the sale of Crown land and money laundering.

The TCIpost blog was taken off the internet a short time later, and nothing was ever heard again in the news about the corruption charges against the brother of the former T&C Minister of Finance, Floyd Hall.

In honour of the disappearing criminal corruption charges and news stories that are the hallmark of the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Caribbean in general, we think that Earl and Floyd Hall would be a fine name for the new airliner!
