Too many of their leaders ie Imams, teach that if a Muslim leaves the faith that Allah sanctions KILLING that person and that anyone can comply with that order. Therefore, any person of another faith is subject to persecution et al because they are NOT Muslim, even though the Koran holds JC is an important prophet.
Here we go again. Trawl the internet for every report of muslims attacking Christians and post another anti-muslim article.
What is it with you guys? Half the time you preach racial tolerance, the other half you spend posting anti-muslim stuff.
Hi St. George,
So other than attacking us for posting the usual week’s worth of stories on Muslim oppression of Christians, do you have anything to say about the oppression of Christians in Muslim countries? Do you believe these stories are made up or an unfair representation of reality?
What do you say about the subject of the stories? True, not true? Is the press responsible for unfairly listing these stories when there are equal numbers of Christians being violent towards Muslims for religious reasons?
Nevermind attacking us for talking about the stories: what about the stories themselves? Are they indicative of a problem with Islam, or no problem at all?
The oppression of Christians is mandated in the Koran. The reality of that is visible throughout the Middle East with killings and the payment of jiza tax by Christians, the destruction of Christian churches and the kidnapping and rape of Christian girls. I don’t know why the news will not cover the story that is every bit as terrible as any genocide in history.
I do agree with the comment about trawling the internet for stories that shows ISlam in a negative way, but if we Christians do not wish to wear the label of hypocrites then we should study history, both ancient and modern and look at the hundreds of thousand Muslims who have been slaughtered by so called Christians (Crusades to present times), if we wish to find answers to why some Muslims have harbour hatred for us so called christians.
It is not necessary for any religions to feel negativity against another, no matter what the religion is. We are all taught to be tolerant, Muslims included, and to love our neighbour. Somehow many, many are not able to follow the basic teachings of love. I don’t know specifically what the Koran says, but I will have to believe that it too teaches love and tolerance. In the end, we are all plagued with anger, jealousy, intolerance of each other – whether it is gender, race, religions or culture. War is the result of this hatred and anger, and frankly rage. We cannot possibly have war with each other if we understood love.
People suspect other’s people’s religions, even though they know little about them. It is this judgement that rules any of the violence. I have personally known Christian sects that teach intolerance, many times referring to the ones that is not theirs as ‘cults’. We all have to stop and look at ourselves before we can say that this one or that one is to blame. We are all to blame. When you consider the big picture, each little group fight against another group is a reflection of the big picture.
Read ‘ war myth of religion’ It is not about religion, but property, land, money, power. You can ask the same question for a lot of other situations e.g. ‘ Why are people in Barbadians so cruel to expacts’.
@ Okeba
Yes. Thankyou.
It is time we invoked religiousness rather than religion. The latter is stale, arid, dead, meaningless. It, religiousness, is what all the great ones, including Jesus, have given us and at root it is the fragrance of love and oneness.
Neither you nor I know whether these incidents happened or not. I suspect it is more likely than not that they did but that is not the point.
You need to realise that whether it is intended or not, your continual posting of news about bad things done by muslims (and yes I agree they are bad, despicable things) just makes you look biased and intolerant to some readers of this blog.
I imagine you will keep on searching the internet for similar stories and publishing them. When you do, I will continue to think that you are biased and intolerant.
Maybe you are right; maybe I am. Let’s leave it like that.
Just recently Defence for Children International published a reports entitled “Bound, Blindfolded and Convicted: Children Held in Military Detention” that highlighted the horrifying abuse and torture of innocent children by the Israeli military and police. A few days later, Breaking the Silence, an organization formed in 2004 and which is made up of Israeli army veterans released a report to the international media on the abuse of Palestinian children that corroborates the DCI report.
Where is the outrage on this BFP? Where is the outrage on the thousands of Palestinian children slaughtered by the Israeli military?
Where is the outrage on the millions of Iraqis slaughtered by Christians from the West in an imperialist war?
Where is the outrage on the thousands of women and children slaughtered by drones in Afghanistan and Pakistan? Drones dropped by a Christian military?
Bombs and drones and bullets marked with Christian insignia and celebrating the deaths of the targets?
Don’t bother to answer though because I know what the answer will be. Like the websites you troll and the neo-cons you look up to, you will find an ingenious way to blame the victim.
Keep on trolling and spouting your garbage. You will always have a small but vocal group of like-minded idiots to sing along in your choir. The rest of the world, thankfully, knows much better.
As for the fascist Islam you so despise, it is the fastest growing religion in the world. Not to mention, that a majority of the people who are converting to Islam in droves are WOMEN! Yes,WOMEN are flocking to the religion that oppresses them. Take that in your pathetic pipes and smoke it.
No doubt there were those in the 1930’s who didn’t want the German oppression of the Jews discussed either.
Christians are systematically oppressed in all Muslim majority countries around the world. They are discriminated against in law and in practice. Christians and non-Muslims in general are subject to violence throughout the Muslim world.
As for Islam being the fastest growing religion, I’m not sure that is true, but even if it is, so what? It grows because adherents are murdered if they leave. Probably hundreds of millions of nominal muslims would leave the religion tomorrow if they would not be subject to everything up to and including death.
I hope BFP continues their once or twice a month postings about what is arguably the most violent and oppressive political, legal and religious system in the world at this time.
@Okeba, who does not know exactly what the Koran says. You should learn as it would cause you to question your position. Here is something to start your education:
The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called ‘hypocrites’ and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter.
Unlike nearly all of the Old Testament verses of violence, the verses of violence in the Quran are mostly open-ended, meaning that they are not restrained by the historical context of the surrounding text. They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subjective as anything else in the Quran.

@ George
‘The fastest growing religion”…you got that right – and yet so much wickedness perpetrated in its name. But then the prophet was a bit of a butcher himself. The examples you give, though themselves in their way not without poignancy, are different in that they were not ‘acts’ committed in the name of religion.
You make an interesting point about women. My observation certainly accords with yours. And, yes, it confounds so much of what we say about Islam. The question I am yet to fathom is why it is so – why all this nonsense dressing-up and subservience over a bogus old man in the sky and something written by a man in a book.
@ St George
I don’t agree with you on this one – the substance – but I do think your observation about the boys at BFP’s ‘blinkeredness’ is to an extent justified and you are right to ‘leave it at that’. Argument doesn’t help. So we are left in matters like this merely to sting a little – as you’ve done and rightly. Besides, I really don’t think any of it will change the world.
Death to……….
Hang on there. I’ve got to think about this & will repost later.
@ The Mad Mullah
LOL……….hanging on your every pondering.
Still working on the list and trying to prioritize.
Hoping to get back to you by end of day, Rob Ross…..
It ain’t easy being a Mad Mullah.
Should I condemn Clico as an entity or try for individuals?
It would be much easier if I were Presbyterian!
I have a problem with real short people…the tops of their heads are invariably not flat thereby depriving me of a place to rest my drink, book or feet. They are an insensitive lot.
@ The Mad One
Let the spirit direct you…..it never fails and is guaranteed divine status.
To Rob Ross:
Thank you, Grasshopper. I am retreating to my cave to ponder your words of wisdom. Surely, I shall emerge with beneficent words for all of our readers. Even Rib Bone and Willie will be enlightened.
Yours in Allah,
The Mad Mullah
@ My teacher, MM
As Salamu Alaykum in your ponderings……….
I mean is Ramadan & he gine drinkin water he should’a drink a coke, muslims tolerate coca cola
That’s it! I don’t like anyone except the owner of my local rum house. I know, I know, not supposed to be drinkin’ akkahol…Well, I do. I’m a luke-warm, cafeteria Muslim. On top of that, I’m a Mullah–so SHUT UP!!.
Besides that, I’m quitting being a Mullah and joining the Anglican Brotherhood [note to self: NOT the Muslim Brotherhood].
The money is better and I don’t have to pray so much.
Yours in the Lord,
The [Former!] Mad Mullah, now known as “Dollar Bill.”
Why are so many Muslims violent towards Christians? That’s easy! Their Koran tells them to be. No question about the verses or that many Muslims do what their book says.
No way that book could be published today. It is hate literature. Muslim mafia is all it is.
Muslims aren’t only violent to Christians, they are violent to their own women. Their book tells them.
“Righteous women are therefore obedient, guarding the secret for God’s guarding. And those you fear may be rebellious admonish; banish them to their couches, and beat them.” — Qur’an 4:34.
There is no getting away from it, Islam and specifically Whasabism, the largest growing element of Islam, supports a doctrine which encourages the wipeout of other beliefs. It’s not just about anti-Christians; anyone else is fair fodder. Muslims are attacking anyone who doesn’t toe their line. All over the world whether you be Bhuddist, Hindu, Christian, Jew or anything else, Islam in on the attack, in a crazed ambition to not encourage us all but to force us all to adopt this mysogenistic and horrible faith. If we don’t accept it we must be blown up. They bang on about how it is a religion of peace and yet anyone can see that the opposite is true. I am so sick and tired of seeing women wandering around clothed in black from head to toe. Little girls having their sexual organs removed in case they might what!?? It’s an insult to men, apart from the brutality enforced on women and girls. Men are superior, women are inferior, walk 3 steps behind your husband at all times. What!!! Muslims demand to have their own law,Sharia law, wherever they live. Children are bought and sold, first cousins marry each other for financial gain and produce babies with inherited disabilities as a result. We need to stop soft-soaping this issue in the name of multiculturalism and force by law of the land to stop tolerating this madness.
an sum clowns hav time 2 answer bfp
@ Dollar Bill
A wise move. The violence is covert in the Anglican Brotherhood and you can get away with far more if you lick enough asses. I will watch your progress with great interest and, meanwhile, wish you very well on your spiritual journey. +
RR-No one told me ass licking was involved in my conversion!
When did that start being part of the program?
Dollar Bill thinks he’s been flim-flammed into something this is a bit icky and offensive.
Perhaps being a Mullah, abeit a Mad Mullah, isn’t such a bad idea. At least I’m not aware of being required to kiss or lick my followers behinders…
@robert ross it is intersting u say dis But then the prophet was a bit of a butcher himself. can u bring proof that he killed ppl
@robert ross it is intresting u say dis But then the prophet was a bit of a butcher himself.can u bring proof that he killed people
Go back real far and check the movies , The Pope Lied to cover his own sins and started this BS Holy Wars. It seem to be the longest and most deadly LIE EVER.
@ Dollar Bill
Ass licking is not mandatory. It all depends on whether you want real serious preferment or not. In short – do you want to be taken seriously? BTW: contributing to the free underground presses is an utterly unserious activity. Thinking about it….yes, you will do far, FAR more good or ill as a Mad Mullah. See nobody listens to an Anglican anyway. But if Anglicanism IS what’s right for you, it all turns on ass licking or Anglican non-personhood. Betta brace yourself. I will keep you in mind..
@robert ross u aint got no proof …..no problem jus shows how a man sees a story picks out the words he wants to and then without checking and see if it is right or wrong posts it jus shows u are one of those educated idiots
@ Anon
You got that one right…….err
I see Anon is 149. Apologies to Anon.
@ 149….The Second World War ended in 1945. Now what is the evidence for that I wonder? I think I read it somewhere….OR King James 1 died in 1625. Now how did I know that? I think I read it somewhere. OR – to get really period….the Vikings came from Scandinavia. Now how did I know that? I think I read it somewhere. Conclusion: open a book sunshine.
i aint talkin bout that ………i talkin about the fact u said the prophet was a butcher himself and i should think u mean he killed people…bring something 2 back u up on that one and if you cant dont talk what you dont know
I am interested to know about the rampant sexual abuse of especially little boys by Christian priests. Every time I look around some pastor or priest is embroiled in a scandal about sex abuse or stealing money. Just a few days ago a priest in the USA defended pedophile priests and said that the boys seduced the priests. How sick is that?
We have seen on CCTV the way small boys are kicked, thumped and hit by their teacher in the madrassas in London, reduced to tears in fear. Face the fact, there are men who enjoy abusing little boys and they seek work in places where they will have full access to boys, often under the guise of religious training. In the above example I gave, police moved in and arrested the teacher on charges of child-abuse. He’s now in jail as are many Christian priests, guilty of the same behaviour. Why can’t men, whatever their beliefs, control their violent, sexual urges towards young children?
Does anyone realise when Anti-Muslim rhetoric goes wrong how BFP leaves it alone? They have never dealt with Janissary Anders Breivek and now the Bacile mockumentary which even the West decries which has created a 2nd Arab Spring again they’ve ignored… Ian Bourne’s Bajan Reporter has looked at the crisis and even he has crafted some clever cartoons which have a spark yet balance… Methinks BFP is losing steam?
Why do ppl get so upset when ppl talk about Islam and it is okay for ppl to lash out at Christians? I encounter this problem all the time. BFP has the right to post on anything they feel like. I bet there are Islamic blogs posting about Christianity also. The point is, its is a current issue in the world today and what is wrong with talking about it. I don’t get offended when my friend sometimes lashes out at Christianity. She doesn’t believe in any God. I just address her opinion and whatever she gets from it she gets. I can do no more. They say that we Christians believe we have the better religion.
DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Every religion believes so. There is no way i could go in any Islamic country and say mine is better. I would be killed. Difference is Christian countries don’t cut off your head for saying what you believe. ALL religions, whether Christianity, Islam or if you believe in a tree(Druids), believe their religion is the true religion. So why do ppl get worked up about it. I makes no sense we all reach the same conclusion. Food for thought.
In all honesty some of the things in many religions, even my own disturb me, but one cannot deny what happens within Islam nations. They have all rights to defend their religion but still do not be ignorant of what Islam followers do. As a female i cringe to think about what i would be subjected to if i was Muslim and i would never set foot in an Islamic nation for fear of my life, well except Dubai :D.
All in all i think religion is what it is. I don’t believe it is meant to be corrupt, but mankind corrupts it. We corrupt everything we touch. I am Christian and I can say that horrific acts have been committed in the name of my religion especially considering Roman Catholic history and some of their bizzare reasoning in their beliefs. I have Hindu, Islam and even Atheist friends we all have our differences and all speak on behalf of our religions, but in no means do we attack each other. We cannot expect everyone to share our beliefs, but we all share this world. All i say is as i would defend mine and acknowledge the faults in my religion, Muslim followers should defend but not blindly defend theirs and disregard what happens in their own religion. Same goes for any other relations.
