  1. PLANTATION DEEDS FROM 1926 UP TODAY A ND SEE MASSIVE FRAUD ,

    good so far

  2. V for Victory

Rihanna sounds so calm and mature and not exactly refined or educated, but classy compared with her tweets and late night activities and candid videos. She was on her best behaviour for Oprah. Didn’t hear “Shit” “Fuck” or “Cunt” one time. Didn’t show her private parts or her nipples. didn’t smoke dope or give the finger. Looks so phoney compared with how she acts when Oprah isn’t around. This is obviously being filmed for PR purposes. Scripted 100%.

Have to agree with V for Victory. Rihanna was scripted and careful. She must have practiced for weeks. Very carefully orchestrated if you ask me.

    @ Plantation Deeds

Good so far agreed. It is a positive portrayal of Ri Ri by a skilled and credible interviewer, but it is in conflict with Rihanna’s usual behaviour, language and communications to fans and others.

  5. A little patience...

I clearly remember hearing at 0:44 into this short preview Oprah asking her about her constant use of the ‘f’ word, Oprah says there is a reason for this and a reason why she always ‘pushes the edge’.

Y’all gona wait for the full interview to air, or just talk sh*t all the time before it even happens?

    smh

Remember, she is truly a GREAT ‘actress’

Hey V for Victory and WSD, have you considered that Ri Ri has matured?

Have you given any consideration to the fact that her handlers are largely responsible for her video “script’….to generate sales?

Can you only accept such scripted acts from other artists? I know, I know…Ri Ri is NOT just another artist. She is you “daughter”, “sister, “cousin”, “girlfriend”, “auntie”, “best friend”..”one uh we”..and we live vicariously through her! We do not expect her to bring shame on us.

Ri Ri is maturing and with the appropriate mentoring/guidance/finishing, she will make us proud and once again, she will be our “daughter”, “girlfriend”, “niece”, “cousin”, “best friend”, “one uh we”.

In copy to Ri Ri take some time to learn the art of self defense.

Yes, she is maturing. She wasn’t seen on Kadooment Day with some man grinding up on her with her bending over like a dog. CBC tv has a public educational ad on television telling children not to let anyone touch your private parts but apparently our government thinks it’s okay to grind up, wind up, wuk up ones private parts on each other. No wonder some of our young people are so messed up. What happened to Barbados’ motto ‘Pride and Industry’. We need to have more respect and pride for our children. As Whitney Houston sang: ‘I believe the children are our future…….show them all the beauty they possess inside, show them a sense of pride to make them beautiful……

How about a new competition at Kadooment of what band can come up with the best road dance and bands being disqualified for lewd behavior? Doesn’t Barbados have a UNICEF office here? Can’t they see this going on? What about the United Nations and PAHO/WHO, don’t they care?

I SEE SHE HAS SIGNED A 3 YEAR CONTRACT WITH THE BAJAN TOURIST BOARD AS THE FACE OF BARBADOS. SWEARING, DRINKING, SMOKING ETC ETC ETC . WHAT A FACE FOR BAJANS TO HAVE. NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Breadfruit

judyjudy that’s what Bajans do, or do you not go out?

V for Victory, yes she’s matured as people do as they learn lessons & get a little older, sure she knows when to ‘act’ the part on stage that’s what her fans expect & that’s what she gives, it’s an act & what she’s paid to do, or don’t you get that? & give the finger to the media when partying with the media constantly in her face? who can blame her! she’s what? 23/24, (do you remember being that age?) she got fame young & done very well, so many bitchy/jealous comments by the public & in the media, but then it wouldn’t be news otherwise would it?! I’d like to see some people deal with what she’s dealt with.

Personally I’m surprised she hasn’t had a breakdown in the aftermath of the Chris Brown beating I think she’s held it together very well, if you saw her on her home ground amongst her friends & family you’d see someone totally different from the stage act, did you get that? it’s an act.

The only thing that I like about this is the reaction of the bajan people to seeing Oprah and Rihanna in the neighbourhood. I have never seen bajans go crazy behind celebs to the point that they are screaming and trying to grab some part of them. To have Oprah in Barbados in one of our neighbourhoods without harassment and guards is testament of the respect bajans have people and their privacy. We may be busy bodies but we are respectable busy bodies

Will Rihanna be around 10 years from now? The Battleship movie turned out to be a horrible vehicle for her. She did well but the movie sucked.

Rihanna reminds me of Madonna in so many ways, a fully fledged self publicity machine from day one; and look at Madonna, adored by millions, rich as hell and still going strong many years later. It’s basically just pop music, being pretty and doing a lot of sex on stage and video, though I think Rihanna, Auto-tune aside, has the better voice. Maturity has not stopped Madonna cavortin about though she has toned down the sex stuff at her age – slightly – no more sex books, has adopted a spiritual religion, etc., married into British semi-aristocracy, now lives with a toy boy called Jesus. Or did I miss something? Is that over? I guess we’ll see Rihanna in the spotlight for many years to come. Chris Brown again?! Deary me.
