Facebook Status 26/04/2011; “…Our Imported-Beer swilling PM can fly to UK for Rich People who have no real clue of the world, while Anguilla’s Gov’t declines attending for same Hardships as Bim?

Facebook Status 29/04/2011; “Social Media works, suddenly Freundel “Simon & Garfunkel” Stuart is NOT going to Royal Wedding – did the Bajan posse of Facebook change his Travel plans? Make him appear to have a Conscience even if he doesn’t?

(Re – Nation News print edition, today – NB; both items do NOT appear online even via Search Engine)

  3. They may be heading Mustique by SVG instead

  4. wuh loss!

Mr. Bourne. PM Stuart did not go to the wedding? Oh oh oh!

Can you scan the Nation story and put it here or send to the editor to publish? Oh oh oh!

  5. The man wiv no name!!

Why should anybody be pressured into remaining with a person with whom you’ve probably fallen out of love, many moons ago! All a nonsense if u ask me!

  6. watch

The dress was a big disappointment it did not wow it was not iconic [forgive me for saying this but you know what i mean] it was not unique like Diana’s it looked more off the shelf.

  7. just need to know

watch I hope you are a man, because that dress that Kate wore today was so simple and beautiful. If you read the reports of this young woman she is just a simple person, don’t dress to kill, and william saw her in a sea through outfit already, so there was no more need to impress. I just pray that That The God of Heaven give them good health, a long life, and continue to love and cherish each other. Bless them My Father.

I too thought Kate’s dress was wonderful, elegant & simple, regal & dignified! The whole ceremony was great the Brits know how to ‘do’ pomp & pageantry at its best.
With all due respect to the late Princess Diana, she was very young when she married & chose a fairytale Cinderella dress. I wish this couple all the luck in the world, they appear to be very much in love.

@Ian Bourne. So much for the Barbados Prime Minister being able to use the opportunity to talk business… There were very influential people in there.

    Guest list…

I willing to bet we’ll probably hear the bigger Caribbean islands soon announcing several new trade deals made during this event. Jamaica and Bahamas especially they usually take every opportunity to do what they need to do. They don’t cool out at all when it comes to getting new business deals and promoting their countries.

Trinidad represented their culture (Via High Commissioner). They gave the couple a steelpan and bottle of Angostura. ( http://www.trinidadexpress.com/news/Rum__pan_for_Will_and_Kate-120834884.html )

  10. Far East

Who’s the next couple besides Kate & will ? BFP is saying BOTH couples.
32million spent on a wedding. Now thats bullsh**. Imagine what the poor in this world could do with that.

  11. J. Payne

I hope Barbados’ Governor-General gave them some good gifts. 🙂

  12. BFP

    Hi Far East,

I guess our article concerning the two couples wasn’t written simply enough to get our point across. Our apologies.

  13. The man wiv no name!!

u must all be very young and very naive!

  14. Bajans are embarassing

Wow. “Best wishes for our future King and Queen” How embarassing you are.

You are still licking the boots of the Queen and King of an England that raped and continues to rape you. At least when our forefathers did it, it was at the butt of a gun. You are doing it voluntarily. The money and opulence you see is dripping in the blood of your ancestors.
Yet you continue to wish them well.
They continue to laugh at you. And justifiably so.
    Get some pride.

  15. @ J. Payne – LOL, are you suggesting like “Yes, Minister” when a funeral or wedding is anything BUT? Merely a chance to open, secure or close deals? Horrors!

  16. J. Payne

@Ian. You can’t close deals. No way that could be done. But you can certainly dialogue with the other leaders about the affairs of their country. And even drop a hint or two on who you’d like to continue discussions with later on or what kind of investment you might be seeking in future from their country. In a tasteful way of course. No way would I suggest doing such at a funeral though.

But I also wonder though if Queen Elizabeth II was invited to David Thompson’s funeral? (As the official head of state according to the Constitution) and if she was, did she just choose not to show up.

I found a little something which makes a tiny bit of fun with Prince Harry’s visit to Barbados.

Royal Wedding Parody with a little Barbados soca flavour!

The article says two couples are getting married, who is the other couple.
Also, if Kate wore a more elaborage dress, people would complain.
If the Prime Minister went to the wedding, people would complain.
You just can’t win no matter what way you look at it.
Also, Diana was an aristocrate and the economy was not in bad shape back then and she wasy marrying the next in line to the throne, not the grandson of the queen. Get a grip people. Kate can wear whatever she pleases, not what pleases other people.
