I can understand Arabic, thanks to Translating Jihad

Child bride ten years old

Fatwa: “Sexual intercourse with prepubescent girl is permissible.”

Al Muratjim is an educated man who works as a full-time Arabic translator during the day. During his time off he works exposing Islamic totalitarianism and intolerance by translating it from Arabic into English.

His Translating Jihad blog illustrates the difference between how Muslims talk about Islam to each other every day in the Muslim world’s mainstream media and how Muslim spokesmen and apologists in the West talk about Islam. As we’ve recently seen in Barbados, when any member of Islamic community lets the truth slip, the apologists are ready and willing to help.

Thanks to the efforts of Al Murajim and others like him, with increasing frequency we are seeing Muslim spokesmen in the West being held to account for talking out of both sides of their mouths (the Ground Zero Mosque imam is the latest to be exposed by his own words).

In the West we are often told that child marriage is a cultural issue having nothing to do with the religion of Islam.

Yup, that’s what they say in the West in English, but in Arabic it’s another story…

It is shocking to see these brazen calls for violent jihad in English. Yet those few of us here in the West who understand Arabic are sadly not surprised at this–it is actually quite common to hear this type of language coming out of the Middle East. The reason it is so shocking to hear these things in English is because Muslim spokesmen in the West are very adept at smoothing over the violent, intolerant, and otherwise shocking aspects of Islam in order to dupe their Western audience into believing that they have nothing to fear from Islam.

I recently found a perfect example of this in an Arabic-language fatwa from the website IslamOnline.net, which was founded by Yusuf al-Qaradawi and is currently listed as the sixth-most popular Islam-related website. The fatwa frankly admits that Islam makes it “permissible to have sexual intercourse with a prepubescent girl”; because, the fatwa continues, “It is true that the prophet (peace be upon him) entered into a marriage contract with A’isha when she was six years old, however he did not have sex with her until she was nine years old”

Apparently they like doing little boys too. I wonder what prophet signed off on that?

  2. we need hits

traffic has been slow recently so what is the best way to generate comments and make it appear that you are so popular? write an islam story. so predictable.

  3. Child Marriage

Child marriage was possible in Judaism, due to the very low marriageable age for females. A ketannah (literally meaning little [one]) was any girl between the age of 3 years and that of 12 years plus one day; a ketannah was completely subject to her father’s authority, and her father could arrange a marriage for her, whether she agreed to it or not. According to the Talmud, if the marriage did end (due to divorce or the husband’s death), any further marriages were optional; the ketannah had the right to annul them. If the father was dead, or missing, the brothers of the ketannah, collectively, had the right to arrange a marriage for her, as had her mother, although in these situations a ketannah would always have the right to annul her marriage, even if it was the first.

When was the most recent Jewish child marriage? The most recent reference I can find is “The Middle Ages” and that is only Wikipedia. That is a little different than contemporary practice in many Muslim majority countries.

  5. Child Marriage

Massachusetts: 18 for first marriage, 14 (male) 12 (female) with parental and judicial consent.[57]

Michigan: Applicants 16 years of age may marry with parental or legal guardian written consent. Applicants under the age of 15 with parental consent and probate court permission. ‘Marriage of a Minor’: The legal marriage of a minor “shall release such minor from parental control.”

Minnesota: Applicants between the ages of 15 and 18 must have the consent of a parent, guardian or the judge of juvenile court. ²Applicants younger than 15 needs the written consent of a parent of guardian and the consent of a juvenile court judge.

Mississippi: Parental consent is needed if under 21 years of age. If parents or guardians do not give consent at time of application, they will be notified via certified mail. The marriage application will be held for three (3) days. Marriage licenses cannot be issued to males under 17, or females under 15 years of age. If the clerk receives a signed authorization from the parents, this minimum age requirement can be waived.
Mississippi: 17 for males, 15 for females, no minimum with parental and judicial consent. (statute)

Missouri: A person under age 18 cannot marry without the consent of the custodial parent or guardian. DzA person under age 15 cannot marry without approval of a judge in the county where the marriage license is sought. The statute states that the judge should grant approval only upon a showing of “good cause” and that unusual conditions make the marriage “advisable.” Persons lacking mental capacity to consent to marriage cannot marry without court approval.

New Hampshire: A female between the age of 13 and 17 years and a male between the age of 14 and 17 years can be married only with the permission of their parent (guardian) and a waiver. A female below the age of 13 and a male below the age of 14 are not allowed to marry under any conditions. If both parties are nonresidents of NH and are below the age of 18 they cannot be married in NH under any conditions.
New Hampshire: 18, 14 for males and 13 for females, in cases of “special cause” with parental consent and court permission.

North Carolina: 18, 16 with parental consent, unlimited in case of pregnancy or birth of child with parental consent

Tanzania: 18 for males and 15 for females, 14 with court permission if specific circumstances make marriage appear desirable. Penal Code provides that persons of “African or Asiatic descent” may marry or permit marriage of a girl under 12 in accordance with their custom or religion if marriage is not intended to be consummated before she is 12

People’s Republic of China: 22 for males, 20 for females.[25] Note: The hill tribes follow traditional rules, as 13 for female been found

Muhammed had sex with his nine year old wife and that is the example often quoted by Muslims. Nine years old is pedophilia “married” or not. The person Muslims call their prophet was a pervert and his example is followed today by many Muslims.

The Fatwa that is the subject of BFP’s article is reported as this:

“I recently found a perfect example of this in an Arabic-language fatwa from the website IslamOnline.net, which was founded by Yusuf al-Qaradawi and is currently listed as the sixth-most popular Islam-related website. The fatwa frankly admits that Islam makes it “permissible to have sexual intercourse with a prepubescent girl”; because, the fatwa continues, “It is true that the prophet (peace be upon him) entered into a marriage contract with A’isha when she was six years old, however he did not have sex with her until she was nine years old” (emphasis in original).”

  7. Child Marriage

In addition to the other Islamic laws relating to marriage, consummation in such marriages could not take place until the parties were fit for marital congress, which depended, among other things, on their physical conditions

  8. Child Marriage

and marrying a twelve year old of today as is legal in some parts of USA is not pedophilia?

  9. Love the spin!

I love it when the Muslim apologists try to claim equivalency between common Islamic practices and a few aberrant laws or incidents in the USA. Sex with a child nine years old is the standard set by Mohammed, and the Fatwa says go to it! Why don’t you address the fatwa, Child Marriage?

You apologists never address the central point of anything, you spin like a top all around it. The Muslim “prophet” Mohammed was a violent killer, rapist and pervert. He liked little boys too. Why don’t you quote some of the Islamic “holy” texts about that? You must know the passages. Why not recite them here?

I cant understand Christianity ,maybe the Padre can teach me.
Oh shoot ! That will make it 10 comments.

  11. Child Marriage

Whats all of this about “let’s the truth slip” and “apologists”. No one is denying anything or feels shame about any of the teachings of God. BTW even though it is true that the Prophet peace be upon him married one of his wives at a young age, I cant say I know of anyone who got married below the age of fifteen, and it is NOT common practice for Muslims to marry so young.
When it comes to little boys, perhaps you are refering to the Priests involed in such scandolous activities. But hey, its not natural to remain celibate, so no wonder they are looking for ways to ABNORMALLY fulfill their natural desires.

  12. Mohammed was a pervert

Congress with a nine year old girl is plain wrong. Beating women is plain wrong. Saying a woman’s testimony is only worth half of a man’s is plain wrong.

All of that is okay under Islam though. The Koran authorizes murder, lies, rape and slavery and these things are done every day in Muslim countries with the reliance upon the Koran. Wake up Barbados!
