What’s the latest on the problems with the Barbados condominium laws?

Dear Barbados Free Press,

I found your website and your story Only A Fool Would Buy A Condo In Barbados – Canadian In 17th Year Of Barbados Condo Hell through Google when I was searching for a Barbados condominium. Your story is the first non-paid item when looking for condominium laws for Barbados.

Can you inform me if Mr. DeSanti and the other owners mentioned in your story received satisfaction in the end? Did Barbados revise its condominium laws as recommended?

Thank you in advance,

BFP Replies…

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your email. We were unable to find any follow-up on the John DeSanti Barbados condominium story in the Barbados news media. To our knowledge Barbados has not revised its Condominium Act, but we’ll ask our readers to weigh in on the subject.

How about it folks? Can anyone provide more information for this BFP reader from Manchester?

  1. Donald Duck Esq,

While you are lobbying for changes to the condo laws of barbados can I strongly recommend that you lobby for time share legislation to cover the increasing number of properties that are being transformed to time shares. Here in Orlando we have proper time share legislation.
