Theo James waves his Bajan flag in New Jersey, USA
Hello to all our friends in Jersey City, Newark and Brooklyn!
Travel just southwest of a little place call Hoboken and you’ll find Jersey City, New Jersey. It’s close enough to Brooklyn that Shona and I used to pass through once in a while on our way to visit some friends across the river.
There have been a lot of changes since 9/11 but one thing that hasn’t changed is that you’ll find a Bajan practically anywhere you travel and New Jersey is no exception – especially during their 15th Annual West Indian Festival Parade last Saturday past. Thanks to a friend for alerting us to the article at NJ.com.
A poke in the ribs for friends in Jersey City
Our friends will get all wound up that we refer to Jersey City as being southwest of Hoboken. You see, Jersey City is a big city and Hoboken is a little nothing, well, Hoboken.
Ah… but the Chairman of the Board was born in Hoboken and that puts Hoboken on the map first as far as Auntie Moses is concerned. There hasn’t been any singer of note since Frank Sinatra, you see.
And who are we to question Auntie Moses?
