Fresh air, friends and a little exercise… You’ll feel great!
Come on out this Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 8am for a trail walk through Blackman’s Gully. Get away from the pavement and noise for an hour and a bit: you’ll be glad you did.
FREE guided tour by an expert
C. M. Sean Carrington BSc (Edin.), DPhil (York-UK) Professor of Plant Biology UWI, will provide narration on the flora and fauna to be found in Blackmans Gully.
Visiting Barbados?
We’d love to show you Blackman’s Gully. Please join us!
You’ll find the gully far cleaner than it’s been in years thanks to the clean-up efforts last March of Kammie Holder, Tyrone Lowe, Michael Thompson and the NCC team. Also a big thank you to two folks from B’s Recycling. I don’t know their names or I’d give them the credit they deserve because they worked hard.
Please let the Future Centre Trust know you’re coming by calling 425-2020 to register for the 75 minute walk.

I feel very strongly about the environment as its part of my civic responsibility. Thus I will be back in Barbados by Friday nite to attend this walk as one of its coordinator.
May I take this opportunity to invite and incite the parliamentarians who read this blog. It may not be election time but the least you can do is lend support to this event.
The Florida Today is linking to the environmental postings. I know some embassies are also reading the Barbadosfreepress to gauge the views of the average citizen.
Just got back from the beautiful Grenadines despite the callous littering. Off to Blackmans Gully Walk and will send you pictures and a video clips with interviews. Thanks for your continued support on behalf of the patron and board led by Mrs Vivian-ann Gittens.
