Canada’s Finance Minister Jim Flaherty says the federal deficit will balloon to $50 billion this fiscal year, an increase of more than $16 billion from a January forecast.

It’s believed to be the highest federal deficit ever.

It is difficult to be productive when the toilet won’t flush. Memo to government: Less money on “community festivals”, more money on water and waste disposal.

Does anyone trust the BWA to manage our water resources during a crisis? How would you contact them after damage caused by a hurricane? Government should disband the Customer Service Department and no one would be any wiser.

Customer Service Staff are so busy with their own extra marital affairs while at work with each other that they have no time to answer the phone. The RECEPTIONIST tries to be a Customer Service Rep, the Clerical Officer (big black male) is the office jiggalo and the Manager (Yvette Harris Griffith) is too busy hiding in her office while the department is being managed by one of the new employees (Sherwood). So how can anyone get service when they’re too busy servicing each other. Fire the entire department and employ a more effective team.

@Dawn: And that dear Dawn is why we are spending $40 million on a new BWA building!!!!

Yesterday, I called customer service at bwa and got no answer. The fourth time I called, i was put on hold before speaking to a staffperson. i happened to be calling from the Thursday Lime at Martins Bay and wanted to ask about my bill. Strange enough who did i see with a nice cold Heineken to his lips? Mr Floyd Nicholls of the CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT BWA! He was with another guy Dale, who also works at BWA. no wonder i can’t get an anser at BWA, they’re out drinking during work hours. At 4.30pm, they were still there drinking so maybe next week I’ll just take my bill to Thursday lime and ask Mr. Nicholls there. This is the 2nd Thursday in a row I’ve seen him there drinking. Customer Service at BWA is a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Poor Service at BWA!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Somebody help them

We’ve had no water apart from an occasional trickle for a week, water finally came on yesterday to go off again this morning as a car had it a pipe at the bottom of our road, have spent 20 mins on the bwa hotline NO ONE answers, absolute disgrace. we’ve had overseas visitors staying with us who have vowed never to return, why should they pay thousands of pounds to fly to Barbados and receive third world service. How can anyone promote this island when a government utility treats it’s customers like this and doesn’t give a damn. What chance does a customer have of getting any satisfaction, when there is no competition BWA know there is nowhere else to go so we as customers have no choice but to put up with being treated like second class citizens, poor service, and no communication. I wonder how many other visitors to this island will not return due to this attitude? BWA your a disgrace

Well done BWA you’ve excelled yourself, water came back on for a couple of hours, then went off AGAIN and then you pump thick brown mud through our pipes to totally block our new filters, shower heads, toilet cisterns etc, and you have the audacity to tell visitors that your water is drinkable from the taps
