Prosecutor Leacock Says The Facts Of The Case Are Straightforward

Former Emmerdale star Ben Freeman raped a 16-year-old British tourist by a hotel pool after she “cried and begged him not to,” a court in Barbados has been told.

The distraught girl’s father found her “crying hysterically,” and fists flew as he confronted Freeman, the court heard on the opening day of the actor’ s trial on the Caribbean island.

The schoolgirl, who had just turned 16, met Freeman at a club at the upmarket hotel where both were staying with their respective families, said the Director of  Public Prosecutions, Charles Leacock…

  1. Why is it the Daily Mail’s headline reads as follows: “Former Emmerdale star Ben Freeman in Barbados court as he rape trial begins”?

  2. Hello!!!

    Lets see

The Director of Prosecutions entertains with a known young male British celebrity and his 16 year old daughter. All have been drinking. He then leaves her alone with this young man.

The only thing that is “straight forward” is that this whole situation stinks to high heaven and the same DPP who caused Ronja Juman to be strip searched for rent money has absolutely no judgment at best and no right to be in the position he is in.

It will be interesting to see who all the other witnesses are and what they have to say.

    BFP says,

HUh? Where do yu get the DPP entertained with a celebrity?

  3. Hello!!!

“his was all in fun,’ he said. After a few minutes, Mr Leacock said her father left and told his daughter she had ‘five minutes’ before returning to her room.”

Sorry the girls father—not Mr Leacock

A father with bad judgment—not the DPP in this case.

    BFP says

No problem – considering the DPP’s lack of integrity, abuse of position, lack of respect for women and human rights – and his association with corrupt police… hey… it was an easy mistake for you to make!

…. and now off to night shift I go! (I know, I know… I’m supposed to have seniority by now so no weekends, but I’m covering for one of the guys who needs the day off for personal reasons.)

George will be on after midnight or so.
    See you later all!

  4. Hello!!!

A Director of Public Prosecution should be laying charges, not commenting on something being “straight forward.” Isn’t that for a jury to determine based on all the evidence and testimony before it?

There is something that doesn’t ring true in this story whether it is just a fathers bad judgment with his 16 year old daughter or more.

Dying to hear about all the witnesses, particularly the accused and those truly impartial.

  5. However you slice it, the whole thing sucks, eh?

  7. Well, Well, Well, Jippy Doyle’s sentence gets squooshed down to indecent assault – he may get out early next year ? It’s all in Barbados Today… Sigh!
