  1. warning

this is a wonderful gesture by the Thompson family.

You must strictly administer how any money given to the QEH is spent or it will disappear as fast as a snowball in h–l.

  2. a 2nd warning.

my first reaction is how wonderful.
my second reaction is .. yeah right..

I’m thrilled that someone would want to raise money for an organ donation program at the QEH, but they need a couple of things.. deep pockets and someone other than anyone at QEH or anyone in Barbados govt to administer the funds and the program. Not to say it’s corrupt, or that noone here could do the job.. but “money in.. money out” if you know what I mean.

So I do wish them luck and hope they raise the much needed funds.

This is the point my friends: the gesture is beautiful…..the QEH is not .
Where this money is going ?

  4. just plain wrong

I think the last 2 posts need to be deleted.. what happened to moderation… guess it doesn’t work anymore..

  5. IDIOT

We need to put the necessary legislation in place. For example the BDS laws does not respect a person’s living will. We need to EDUCATE, EDUCATE, EDUCATE our people and get them to appreciate those that are alive may benefit from their loved one’s death. I suspect that this is going to be a significant challenge that we have to overcome before we can start talking about raising funds for an organ donation program in BDS

  6. organ donation

firstly.. please take out my just plain wrong post.. looks like I want to get rid of the 2 before that one..

2ndly.. yes.. I don’t think people in Barbados know much about organ donation. and I think, honestly, if someone was going to raise money for the hospital, that it needs to go to something that is an already functioning program there. but it still needs to be managed properly.
