If you sit back and think, in the short term, waiting for answers is no longer the relevant point per se.

    The immedicate relevance now is:

‘What impact will these projects, the lack of accountability or the perceived reticence or arrogance of the administration in not disclosing significant matters relating to these projects have on the coming election’.

THAT is now the immediate issue.

After that is answered in June?, then the new administration will have to deal with the original issue which shall again become relevant in of itself.

let’s play a game here….let’s say barbados’ population was 90% white,10% other with black’s making up 5% of that other, and the white politician’s were taking all our black million’s from our payoffs to look the other way so that we can keep oppressing the white population and no integrity legislation laws were being passed and the black’s were living like king’s and queen’s along with the white politician’s with cries from whitey falling on deaf ear’s….how long do you think that white government would last in power???..any taker’s?

When Kerins realized that there was such outrage about building Caribbean Splash at Graeme Hall he contacted Ocean Park who is also interested in building a water park at their location. Who do you think he took to that meeting as one of the people invloved, none other that the person who when he had in some “see thru” stated that “I have to look after the PM”, same man involved in the Flyovers, buying equipment for the Port etc etc will ever stop?
Maybe now we can understand Kerin’s comment at the Town Hall meeting when he said that he had been told by the Govt to come to Graeme Hall, and that the Govt can not back out now.

Intergity Legislation? will never be introduced in Barbados unless we the people force it to be done: we can do we have the power we just need to stay the course.

Tudor am I mistaken here but could this be the same guy Nicholls who wanted the commission for he and Owing for the west coast sewage plant?the same one who has collected commission for the erection of the jails? the same one involved in the bringing in of the slot machines to be run by an american?the same one involved with the sickening land deal at holders?the same one who collects a commission on every vehicle that is imported into this island on behalf of the gov’t? at the risk of boring you I will halt it there but if the response is yes to all of the above we are referring to the same slime ball maybe the closest freind of Owing, they make very good bed fellows two of a kind.

  10. Tudor

Please go on Wishing, this is far from boring.

  11. hard ears

I see the same land at Graeme Hall get plough up like it goin get plant back in ground provisions.

  12. Wishing in Vain

Does the grouping of Nicholls, Bannister,
Shorey, Arthur, Cox ring any bells for you? this could well be recorded as the most corrupt grouping ever to be assembled to undertake the PM’s dirty work.
They have willfully plundered the resources of this country to the tune of millions of taxpayers dollars to filter it to the recipients and this same bunch are smiling in your face while they are shafting it in you.
The lesser mortals such as Lynch with his giveaways to Carnival Cruise lines to the tune of
$18 mil is wonderful indeed, Clarke with him living on gov’t property, Ms Eastmond if this story is true about gov’t workers being used to erect her branch office, Mia well she is a different story all together I will bite my lip on this one, Mr Eastmond who complains that he does not know what he did to the PM since 1991, Joe Edghill et al for being paid healthy salaries for sitting on boards as figure heads for the administration.
They are all guilty as charged and should all resign or be resigned there is absolutely no room in this day and age for this kind of behavior not at the taxpayers expense of this tiny island.

  13. Tudor

Wishing was not aware of Bannister. But please do not forget Hobson.

  14. Tudor

The land at Graeme Hall has been planted with cotton & sugar cane for fuel.

  15. Wishing in Vain

Duly noted Hobson and Nicholls can be done in one breath.Yes he Bannister is a major power broker in the same vain as Nicholls and Hobson he is of the flyovers gameplan.

  16. insider

I have heard of Bannister – add the new prisons and the ethanol factory

  17. Wishing in Vain

Here we have a more comprehensive list of the whos who of Barbadian corruption please feel free to add to the list -: Nicholls, Bannister,
Shorey, Arthur, Cox, Hobson, Wilkinson and the gang keeps growing you realise if we had .50 cents for each dollar that this gang stole from the taxpayers we could have a brand spanking new hospital the best roads in the caribbean, a wonderful transport service and a more honest gov’t?

  18. Wishing in Vain

Name them and add them to my listing it will make very good reading-: Here we have a more comprehensive list of the whos who of Barbadian corruption please feel free to add to the list -: Nicholls, Bannister, Shorey, Arthur, Cox, Hobson, Wilkinson.
The level of corruption that is taking place in this administration is unbelieveable, there is stealing at every level and with many benefiting, from the PM and his cronies all the way down the chain of command, it appears as if it hardly worth saying anything any longer as nothing seems to make any difference.
My fear now is if they feel that they may not win the next election will they escalate the level and magnitude of the stealing.
I think this may already be happening if it is not why then have they ordered and paid for over
$ 8.5 mil in airconditioning systems for the QEH and Judicial center ?
This is for somewhere that is not likely to be finished until 2009 or later is it that someone needs to cash in on their commission before the administration changes?
Can you really tell me that under normal conditions that this amount of equipment can be lying around for years waiting to be installed?
I smell a rat in this one I don’t about you, but when this amount of money is involved and when I see the arrangement it does not look goo to me.

  19. Tudor

8.5 M in equipment laying around for 2-3 years ? madman’s act! someone is collecting a backhand here.
Wishing, is the media in Barbados so whipped in line that no one could pick this story up and at least brought it to the Public’s attention?
I checked out the Bannister connection, now know who that particular slimey gent is, a bunch of criminals all of them.

  20. Wishing in Vain

They sure a wicked bunch of bastards these politicians, not sure about the regular press in this island they are a so controlled by the gov’t that they are not willing to say or do anything that goes against the gov’t.
But believe me these units do exist and yes the price tag is right maybe the have a true value of $ 6 but the rest maybe a facilators or commission fee to you know who!!!!

Makes me think of the nonsense that went on with Sherbourne Conference Center where the local Agent of a certain brand of audio equipment tendered for the job only to discover that another company owned by the top man at the time had been awarded the contract at a price far greater than that quoted by the agent. “We know we like so” !!!
