Robert Says “You Will Be Amazed”

Look. I know there is no “magic” – it is all “illusion” – and yet…

I saw Elliott Smith in a casino a couple of years ago, in Atlantic City, I think.

Some friends and I were sitting in the audience after dinner. No one had touched me – of that I am positive. Halfway through the show, Smith had one of my friends come on stage and do the old “pick a card” trick. My friend picked a card, put it back in the deck and then the card disappeared. My friend looked through the deck, couldn’t find it and we were all expecting Magician Smith to pull it from behind his ear or something.

The card was in MY pocket.

Me, sitting in the audience.

I know Smith got to me earlier in the evening. Somehow. But I’m equally sure that no one touched me. For the next few days, I just kept saying to myself, “There was no magic. It was all a trick. There was no magic….”

  1. That man is deadly, he blow my mind in truth… At the Limelight cafe launch – he took my wife’s wedding ring and make it float up a rubber band aimed DOWN to the ground! When you have “Order of Merlin” attached to your name? That means like David Copperfield league and this guy is just so qualified… I plan to go again!

bfp, YOU went to a casino? well well the hypocrisy never ceases..

  3. BFP

    Hey Anonymous

As should be evident to anyone who has been hanging around this place for more than a few days, each one of us at BFP is an individual with their own thoughts, dreams and weaknesses. Each one of us has a different shade of skin and the span between the youngest and the really old BFP’er is 53 years.

Auntie Moses wouldn’t be caught dead in a casino and neither would Marcus, but if Robert wants to throw away his money on a layover in New Jersey, that’s his business.

If you want to list the personal faults of every one who writes for BFP, you’d better set aside a few days ’cause the list is long.

I’m a Barbadian living in Ottawa and Elliot the Magician performed at my daughter’s third birthday party in August 06 and he was awesome!! The kids and adults alike were mesmerised by his magical tricks.

BFP,If that is the original Anonymous writing about hypocrisy, just ignore him please.

You know you all like family.

I Knew without you saying so that this post was from Robert.I think I got a handle on you all.

Marcus is the serious christian, family man who is very sensitive and sweet.

Aunty Moses is a no -nonesense relative of Shona who is also a very salt of the earth christian person.

Robert is a mixture of Marcus and Cliverton, but with a big heart and takes his responsibility seriously,he however isn’t as deep on the christian stuff.

Cliverton, well, well what can we say about Cliverton. He is the naughty one,who likes to have foxy ladies at his door and elsewhere, and like to peep at Rhianna – a naughty but lovable little brother if you ask me.

And George – I haven’t yet gotten a handle on George – the most I can say is he sounds very serious and older.

Oh and shona – almost forgot the rose among the thorns.Shona is that sweet young mother who likes magnet man and B’dos music award etc – just young at heart – she however doesnot like posting, and I believe is quite busy with baby.

But I love all of you guys with your individual personalities.

You guys shoulda seen the slowly-rotating Key that magician was using, but I think I have it figured out.

For starters, that ain’t no ordinary key, it probably cost him USD300!
