British Airways Suspends Christian Employee For Wearing Cross – But OK’s Muslims, Sikhs For Religious Headcovering & Jewellery

Now let me think here…

Which airline will Robert choose to fly back to jolly old Britain for Christmas this year?

Maybe he’d better read this article first…

    political correctness run amok

try using their competitors until the silly bureaucracy comes to it senses and make sure you tell them

Maybe we need to hear more about the Black Bajan boy who is alledged to have been beaten by a white man in HighGate Gardens last night.

It occurred to me that BFP should not fear carrying a topic that appeared in the mainstream press.

    WELL THANK YOU!

Same thing I said in another post.

I guess there’s no chance to suck up to anybody or to chastise the BLP so reporting on the little boy isn’t suited for BFP.

  4. Green!

I’m wondering why such a beating took place.
Was the boy on his way to church?
    – or was he stealing mangoes?

There’s more to the story than just the beating, surely!
    Who knows more? – report!

We want to know WHY the kid deserved and got licks.

this is what a free press is all about!!!

okay BFP—now that we have a lead—what is the story of the Bajan boy in England—his version and others if possible?

it didn’t happen in england dear… it happened right here in barbados.

principles are and should be universal

where it happened and color should be irrelevant —its a Bajan boy —topical enough

point is what happened and why?

Green NO kid deserves what is reported some of which is as follows.

“Swollen face and right eye, a missing tooth and scratches about his neck.

being tied up, punched, kicked, having his head banged into a guardwall and being spat on.”

Hope it will be investigated – appalling.

Quite right about the beating story. Should be here and Marcus said he would do it a day ago. Then was sidetracked by life.

Marcus, can you do it now or should I?

David Commissiong’s old neighbourhood was Highgate.

He had a letter in the Nation or Advocate about the neighbourhood and its mixed racial content a while back. Will see if I can find it on Nationnews

My understanding of his letter was that at the time someone was referring to Highgate as a gated community and he was refuting the claim.

Haven’t been in Highgate a lot in my time as all of the roads are cul de sacs (I think) and there is no way through by car. But I have never seen a bar to entry the few times I have been to see people there.

I know Mark Goodridge, not well, but well enough to be surprised he is involved in the way it is alleged he is involved.

Full, open, frank disclosure of the investigation is required by all parties.

  12. Moderation?

Seems to me that the quantum of the response constituted an over-reaction, and THAT is the problem the householder/s now face.

You catch someone in your home,
but you don’t beat them half to death, having apprehended them.
Maybe a token whack or two,yes..
just to make sure the intruder does feel SOME reckoning,
    lest the courts free him,later,
but other than that, you apprehend the intruder and secure him until the Police arrive in 4-5 hrs. time(IF they have TransP.)
