That Was One Expensive Phone Call…
I can’t figure it out – maybe you can.
Peter Simmons, the brother of the Chief Justice of Barbados Sir David Simmons, made one little phone call and ran into a wee bit of legal trouble because he threatened a lawyer on the other side of a legal case he is embroiled in.
So who pays for his lawyer and the fancy “psycholinguistics” expert to say that dear old Peter didn’t really mean to threaten anyone when he made the threatening phone call?
Accounting firm Price Waterhouse Cooper – that’s who!
Huh?
What the devil is going on here? Why would PWC pay the legal bills for someone who supposedly has nothing to do with their firm?

Audited financial statements are required under Barbadian law. Barbadian shareholders are entitled to determine the fair market value of their share based on these full and complete disclosures.
These full and complete statements were never prepared for Kingsland Estates Limited for a company valued at many hundreds of millions of dollars by independent appraissers and flogged by government representatives at $800 million US.
Too bad the money didn’t go to pay Marjorie Knox towards fair market value for her shares instead of a group dedicated to the principle that power corrupts absolutely
$56,000 is rather cheap for a professional group who never did their job and who the public deserves to be protected by.

As I understand it, both Cable and Wireless and the Royal Barbados Police Force know the source of the continued death threats, but appear not to be prepared to act.

I hope people are taking these threats being sent to Mr. Loveridge ‘not so slight.’ This is not good enough, the RBPF needs to do thier job. This is a serious thing people need to be more serious in this country. Not only can it happen to Loveridge it can happen to us!

i dont agree with death threats but i also dont agree with how Loveridge is carrying on like if he is a bajan …as long as he spouts his garbage i will continue to ask him to leave our beautiful island
