Here we are, just a week away from deciding who we wish to lead us for another five years and we still have no idea what the eventual cost of so many Government projects is!
Hotels and Resorts Ltd (GEMS), the Government office building at Warrens, the ABC Highway and possible flyovers, Dodds Prison, Greenland, the overall costs associated with hosting the CWC 2007.
It goes on and on.

Adrian, it is their arrogance where they feel that they are not accountable to the Barbados electorate that will be their downfall.

still in no condition to receive visitors almost two years after it was closed.
take a visit and see if you can tell me where even 1 million was spent.
nobody has to ask where the BLP is getting the money to fund its campaign.

Last night’s debate on CBC TV with Harold Hoyte & Frank Alleyne re the elections seemed to me to be much more favoured towards the BLP and more anti-DLP where as Prof. Boxel stuck directly & nutrally to subject matter. From their conversations and response I’d place my wager that both of them were voting BLP for Election 2008 ….
Why would Mr. Arthur state that the DLP were receiving funding from Taiwan….. turns out that it was denied by the Taiwan Ambasador, By Mr. David Thompson and Mr. Parris….. didn’d Arthur do his research ?? right now in the minds of many he appears to be a blatent liar and that immage won’t go away unless he can offer Proof of his statement

i thought it was just me!! how am i to feel confident in this ‘great leader’ ppl make owen out to be when he does not hold his direct reports accountable for things like a project tripling in cost. its ridiculous. anywhere else in the world in ANY field that would have resulting in a head rolling. no question.
the sad thing is, this is across all types of projects, big and small. im not asking him to micromanage, but when you create the environment that a project can triple in cost to start with, it speaks to extremely poor management and an obviously poor choice in project facilitator.
this government is doing as it pleases. noone will question the PM.. and he seems to have less than a passing interest in what his ministers are doing so as far as im concerned we could as well be adrift.

Arthur puts a $ 50.00 note in one hand and a
$ 100 bill in the other, then calls the boy over and

“ Who ACCUSED the DLP of taking money from
TAIWAN…….Owen Arthur or David Thompson ,
my son ? ”
Owen Arthur further explained , that the $ 50.00
bill represents Thompson and the $ 100.00 represents Arthur.
The boy takes the $ 50.00 bill and leaves.
“ What did I tell you?” said Arthur. “A little child
shall lead them! ”
Later, when the crowd left the scene, they saw the
same boy coming out of Days bookstore . ” Hey,
son! May we ask you a question?
Why did you take the $ 50.00 bill instead of the
$ 100.00 dollar bill knowing that Thompson
NEVER made that ACCUSATION about
TAIWAN ????
The boy holding, very closely to his chest, his
book entitled, “ Lies, Damn Lies …” replied,
“Because the day I remind Owen Arthur of the
TRUTH, the game’s over ! ”

can anybody tell me why there was a big fight at the B.L.P HEADQUARTERS after the bay street meeting when aim cuss out the dame an zil and ( alleyne see through arthur came close to listen and then said that hard wood malik was the best thing for the BLP CAN ANYBODY TELL ME why big wood from st philip lock off see through neck and he nearly die please tell me why?

No, A loyal BLP supporter would suggest that it was only a little tussle a love fight!!!!!
Meanwhile they are at each others throats and wanting to rip them apart.
Does it have anything to do with St.Peter Development Fund account? Or does it have more to do with the DANOS 3 S ROAD WORKS SACM, or does it have more to do with that GOLDEN SHOWER? Or does it have to do with the VECO OVERCOST PRISON ? Or does it have to do with Owing and his drunking statements about nevr wanting to see the DLP hold office EVER AGAIN.

I am new to this website and neither a supporter of either party; actually, my leaning would be more to the DLP given the fact that my education was obtained under Dipper Barrow’s government; so in effect, that would make me a product of the DLP.
I can distinctly remember the 1961 election where people used brooms to symbolize sweeping the then BLP government out of office at the time and the euphoria which was created back then. I was in primary school at that time but I can still remember the occasion.
This present administration is very reminiscent of the one back then and it is my sincerest wish to see history revisited by a similar election outcome.
Peace to all other contributors including the blind BLP supporters.
