Machete-Murdering Wife Released From Prison After 14 Years – That’s Less Than One Year For Each Of The 25 Chops To Husband Leary Lynch

Women Who Murder Their Husbands ALWAYS Get Off Easy

Mary Lynch wacked her husband Leary some 25 times in the head with a machete, then dismembered his body and spread the pieces throughout the countryside – telling people that her Barbados-born husband was “away” on a business trip. Some business trip.

When caught, she said it was “self defense”.

Yup… sure sounds like self defense to us!

Double Standard In The Courts

Like so many women who murder their husbands, Mary Lynch will not be staying in prison because as we all know, there is a double standard in effect in the courts. Kill your wife… never see the light of day again. Kill your husband… after a few years, you’ll be deemed to be “no longer a risk” and your friends and relatives will greet you upon your release.

Why does society hesitate to believe that a woman can be every bit as evil as a man?

Maybe because in 90% of the cases domestic violence is initiated and perpetrated by men? The sentaces are unequal because the tendancy to commit violence is unequal.
Not the capacity, the capacity is defiantly equal.

  3. Justifiable Homicide?

Women who murder their husbands usually have a pretty darned good reason for killing the bastard!
It is not in the ordinary nature of the female to kill.
They are the mothers, the nurturers.
It takes a lot to make a woman kill.
I’m not defending her actions. She may have been mad as shite for all I know, but in general women get the shitty end of the stick from men,
so when they kick up now and then, it’s usually understandable
(I’m a man, but I’m not into the domineering, chauvinistic gender role BS, like you are)

And incidentally, machete is spelled with one L,
    -not two-
Please correct the spelling error in your headline

Thanks for pointing out the spelling error. Don’t know how that happened… we’re usually perrfect! ;-)

No doubt, double standards in all arenas and injustice by the Justice system WILL always exist -make no mistake about that; be it male vs female, rich vs poor, white vs black, etc.

From looking at the photo of Mary Lynch, she seems to show no remorse.

Does anyone remember the days of Daphne King when she was condemned to be hang?

  5. Anonymous

Remorse is such a false sentiment, usually displayed for reasons and occasions, it’s rarely genuine.
The woman exiting jail is happy to be free at last, she has paid her debt to society,
and has no need to show remorse – the time for that was in the courtroom, just before sentencing (see how handy it is?)
Hope she picks a better man this time around.

Are you nuts? This evil woman hacked a person to death, then cut up the body and transported the pieces to various locations.

Why must you assume that the woman is always the victim? Why must people assume that the husband acted in a manner that justifies his murder?

Frankly, some of the comments prove our point handily.

As to women not murdering, so many women murder their children that most societies have special infanticide laws governing this crime because it is realised that a good portion of hormone-driven new mothers are half crazy. That is reality and the law reflects it.

Judging from the picture, hands raised in the air Hallelujah!-style, I reckon she’s a total religious freak-nut – no wonder she whacked him. Probably found righteous justification in her bible somewhere and decided that it spoke of him, and did it.

  8. herefordian

She, yesterday, emerged with raised hands and said tearfully: “Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus. It has been 14 long years, but the Lord has kept me.”

I guess 14 years in prison is a drop in the ocean compared to eternity in hell ….

  9. Straight talk

Lynch, the minister, chopped an arm and a leg off Barbadians , and chewed the ear off Ellis.
    His punishment? Gregg Farm.

oh cmon peoples the lady has paid her debt leave her in peace

  11. Kem

How much is a human life worth? You need to answer that question before you can say the debt has been paid.

  12. Bimbro

The people who support this animal confirm to me, if I did n’t know already – and I did – that Barbadians are either dreamers or gutless! I give-up with them!

No, rather, I wish for them a relationship with a Jamaican such as this brother experienced.

Maybe we Barbados could over look de patent anyway… lol

It is sooo good it might be something worth going after because– mind you if you have a car running on hydrogen and oxygen the only think that will come out of that cars tailpipe after you have the combustion in the cylinder heads will be harmless clean water vapor.

Which will have little to no effect at all on the environment. It might just create a few more white puffy clouds of water vapor in the atmosphere but that’s it. No carbon (made from burning fossil fuels) will be created by the combustion process.

  14. J. Payne

Opps. I had two instances of BFP opened in my browser and I posted this to the wrong thread.

Damn it’s good to be a woman.

  16. Mona-Lisa

I think you are being unreasonably harsh where this women is concerned. Did you ever consider the brutal nature of Leary Lynch and what this woman had to deal with on a daily basis, the constant physical and verbal abuse. I did’nt think so. Put yourself in her shoe and think about it, what would you have done my friend?

As far as I’m concerned Mary Lynch will never be free because now she lives with the nightmares of abuse, muder, prison and the reality of heartless critics like you.

May God continue to bless you Mary and always remember that forgiveness is between you and God, not society.

  17. He no doubt drove her to it and got his just deserves. Good for her. Take one for every woman beating, child molesting, rape comitting ass wipe male out there Ms. Girl…
One man cutting female in a blue moon is worth reading about. You read about machete hacking men in the Caribbean almost daily.

  18. Mark

My wife mentally abuses me every time I get in late or am too tired to listen to her talk at the end of the day. I am tired of it. What do I do? I think I will chop her up, disposes of the pieces, serve some jail time and get out to have a meal and maybe write a best seller. It’s better than spending the rest of my life with her. You female apologetics better hope she is not your sister or daughter.

  19. Denise

It good to know the facts before casting judgment. This woman is a victim of abuse from this pompous, good for nothing man who does not value other people .

Its a pity it turned out the way that it did as I would not wish death on anyone. But he is the one that pushed her to point of no return (nuts) so in one respect he was rewarded for his own actions.

Ironically, the machete that she used to chop him up was the very same one that he had used to beat her breathlessly prior to her committing the act.
NOW think about! Wasn’t it self defense?

I’m sorry you all were not privilege to hear her side of the story on one of JA’s local stations.

  20. Denise

Mark you sound mental…go get yourself check out.

  21. jamsquad

i am a jamaican and i know what she did was very CRUEL AND HARSH she deserved life sentence or the death penalty, but there are 2 main reasons she got out that early
    1. she was wealthy before she got in
    2. she is a woman
she said she was abused in the relationship, but why the f_ _ k didnt she just walk away, no she waited and torured and killed her husband and then not expect to get life in jail. the jamaican justice system is flawed. If a man raped a girl he’s looking at 25 to life but when a woman kills her husband and scatters the remains at different location she only gets 14 yrs come on ppl. Thats rubbish she should DIE.

  22. 173

I wish the full story was told in your article and not what you choose to publish, that she was living in hell for years from her abusive husband…if it was me, he would not have lived that long (all of 54 years).

    *******************

    BFP says,

So husbands who live with abusive wives for that period of time should be excused for hacking them to death also? For that is what you propose for women…

  23. MTJ

I in no way justify one human being killing another. But I can only imagine what years and years of physical and emotional abuse must cause to a woman. In someway , she felt as if this was her only way out. Double Standard ? Maybe.

    Time Served.

  24. 215

Denise, learn to read the unstated point. I am saying that there is always a reason to justify our vile actions. That does not make them right and the story shows nothing less than a cruel woman in Mary. The female apologists weaken their cause by supporting hers. Disassociate yourselves from evil.

  25. pastinmate1994

I spent time with her in Fort Augustus ( same dorm – 1994 ). One day she would sit and tell you how she did it and the next day she would tell you she didn’t do it and that she was appealing the case. She was a very wealthy women and the only women in the prison that was allowed to wear her own clothes, the rest of us had to wear frocks ( ugly dresses with ugly hats ). I had no idea she would be released to the public ever again.

Tell the world what you think about this!
